Mairdumont are a German publisher with a wide range of maps including the Die Motorrad General Karte Series for Germany, Austria and The Southern Tirol, Dolomite and Trentio Pocket.

Robust, detailed and packed with valuable biking information these motorcycle specific maps are the must have companions for anyone planning or setting out on a tour of Germany and/or Austria.

Published in conjunction with Motorrad Magazine there are 27 Maps in the series each with a Scale of 1:200,000 and featuring highlighted special tours, motorcycle routes and meeting points. The maps are waterproof, tear resistant and fold out. They are contrasted to make them easier to read on a bike and feature places of interest, campsites, youth hostels and selected hotels, the index also has a list of bike repairers by manufacturer. The scales allows for plenty of detail including toll roads, traffic restrictions, steep roads, seasonal closures and is good for identifying geographical features. Helpfully the legend is also in English.

Unfortunately some of the maps are now out of print and the publishers are indicating that they will not be reprinted so if you are looking to go to Germany or Austria get them whilst you still can.
