Motorbike Tour 9 Austria – The Blue Danube and Alps of Central Austria

Tour 9 of Toby Ballentine's excellent book "Motorcycle Journeys through Western Europe" takes the reader and prospective traveller along the world renowned Blue Danube through some of Europe's most beautiful countryside in the Wachau Valley, then the tour heads south into the heart of Austria. Old towns surrounded by the Austrian Alps make this a scenic and cultural adventure into the centre of this small county. Head south to Graz a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before turning back to Melk on a superb motorcycle road. As an extra bonus drop by Mount Erzberg, home of the Erzburg Enduro Rodeo and the world championship King of the Mountain motocross course.
